Friday night, we hosted our Van Buren County Coffee & Pie kickoff at Mel’s Old Times Cafe in Spencer.
The evening gave us the opportunity to spend time visiting with supporters and members of the community in a relaxed setting centered around conversation, coffee, and pie. Matt had the chance to sit down with people one-on-one, hear what is on their minds, and continue building relationships across Van Buren County ahead of the August election.
We especially want to thank the entire team at Mel’s Old Times Cafe for going above and beyond to host the event. From the decorations to the hospitality to the pie and coffee, they created an atmosphere that made everyone feel welcome from the moment they walked through the door.
A special thank you as well to Sheriff Michael Brock, members of the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department, and the local law enforcement community who came out to spend part of the evening with us. We appreciated the opportunity to visit with each of you.
Mel’s Old Times Cafe has become a regular stop for Matt, and if you are in Spencer around lunchtime, there is a good chance you will find him there!
