Matt and members of the campaign team spent the weekend out across the district, making stops in Viola, downtown McMinnville, and Hawk’s Bluff while continuing to meet with voters throughout the district.

The weekend began at the Middle Tennessee Nursery Association field day at Tri Green Equipment, where Matt spent time visiting with attendees alongside Jerry Blankenship. The event brought together growers, local business owners, and members of the agriculture community from across the region.

Saturday morning brought the campaign to Viola for the Viola Valley Half Marathon & 5K, where Matt, members of the campaign team, Sheriff Jackie Matheny, and members of the Warren County Sheriff’s Department worked a water station along the course. The annual event once again drew a strong crowd of runners, volunteers, and supporters from across the area.

Later that afternoon, the team stopped by the Warren County Farmers Market in downtown McMinnville, where Pennie spent time visiting with local vendors and picked up a few custom-engraved pens crafted by her father. Supporters can expect to see more of the Colvard campaign around the Farmers Market throughout the summer ahead of the August election!

Saturday evening was spent in Hawk’s Bluff, where Rick and Shawn Perez graciously welcomed Matt and Pennie into their home to visit with friends and neighbors and discuss the District Attorney’s race. Guests had the opportunity to learn more about Matt’s background in prosecution, military service, and his appointment by Governor Bill Lee.

The Colvard family rounded out the weekend by attending Sunday evening services at Central Church of Christ.

The campaign is looking forward to being out across the district throughout Memorial Day weekend while taking time to remember and honor the men and women who have served our country. The team hopes to see many of you at the Memorial Day service at Warren County Memorial Airport featuring First Sergeant Timothy Howard of the Warren County High School JROTC program.
