The Meet, Greet & Eat campaign kickoff was a strong success, with an excellent turnout and an outpouring of support from across the community.
Despite cold and windy conditions, friends, family, and supporters showed up in force, creating an atmosphere that was both encouraging and energizing. Guests enjoyed great food, live music, and the opportunity to connect, setting a positive tone for the campaign ahead.

A special thank you goes to Steve Harvey and his band, who played throughout the afternoon and brought energy and warmth to the event despite the weather. Their talent and dedication did not go unnoticed.
The campaign is deeply grateful to the staff from the District Attorney’s Office and to everyone who stepped in to serve and volunteer their time in the cold. Their support was essential to making the event run smoothly.
Thank you as well to Jerry Blankenship for his continued friendship and support on the campaign trail.
From Matt’s perspective, the day carried special meaning. He shared his deep gratitude for his wife, Pennie, of 32 years, and their daughters, Ella and Claire, expressing how proud he is of their family and the work they are doing together. He noted that regardless of the outcome on August 6th, the experience itself is something he deeply values.
We were fortunate to have such a strong turnout, and any remaining food was donated to local law enforcement. We are grateful for their service and appreciate the opportunity to support those who work every day to keep our community safe.
Overall, the team walked away feeling incredibly grateful. The support shown made it clear that this campaign is built on strong relationships and a committed community. By every measure, it was an excellent kickoff.
